Irony ... Lenin's image became the modern Church's Satan and the sickle was given to the grim reaper and people still honestly believe that Communism was the system that tried to win the Cold War using lies and deciet. Great cartoon, I especially love the touch of the little kid killing the communist with a gun. Even though he's too young to vote he's already indoctrinated and armed.

This reminds me of the moment in South Park when Saddam Hussein and Satan show up on the scene. Everyone explains "Oh look its Saddam Hussein and Satan." and then "Oh no ... Saddam Hussein!!!"

Mexico flirted with communism in the early thirties and fourties... but luckily for us a corrupt government got us put of the communist way... I say luckily because if we were communists we'd be blocked like Cuba and we'd be starving. Scary...
